Being brought up in Beijing in an educated family, I was fortunately given the best education in China. In my childhood I preferred reading books to? ?satisfy my curiosity. Any attempt to persuade myself to focus on my major was failed at the beginning of my college life. After several terms, I realized that I would never be interested in being a scientistan engineer. 明確目標志存高遠
　　
首先，作為一個留學生一定要有明確奮斗的目標。我們可以首先設立一個個人戰略目標，比如成功完成學業，找到理想的工作等等。然后把這個大目標化成學期目標，星期目標等。比如我每個學期都有自己的任務和目標，把它貼在墻上時時督促自己要完成任務。大家可能會說目標都是虛的，而且定出的目標可能在不斷變化，一定很難實現。從我個人體會來說有目標要比沒有目標能令人產生高倍的效率。目標可以順應環境而調整，但是有一個明確的目標，知道自己在干什么是很有必要的。

利用好各種資源能使自身迅速增值。許多同學在利用資源這方面的能力十分欠缺，而且不懂得學習的方法。其實在新西蘭有很多學習的資源可以利用。譬如學校的圖書館就是一個很好的資源。它的價值可能不僅僅體現在平時趕作業上，更重要的是在平時閑暇里的耳濡目染。
