布里斯托大學經費充裕、來源渠道多。下設六個大系，即文科、理科、醫科、工科、法律與社會學系。在醫學、工程與計算科學方面，一流的實驗室及設備保證了上述領域世界一流的教學水平。

布里斯托大學開設有120多門本科課程，包括醫學、牙醫及獸醫科學、法律與財務會計、工程、生物學與生理學、藝術、戲劇、歷史、語言、數學、音樂、哲學、政治學、以及社會科學。該大學的重點是經濟學和會計學。經濟學、會計學、計算科學、法律、工程、教育及理科等領域

的教學質量屬于一流。本科學位課程三年完成，碩士一年完成。
